I had big bones listed on the “Markets” section, sold some so went to change the quantity I am selling and it says “You cannot have more than three active listings of the same type.” I have no idea what this means as I only have one offer for selling big bones. I removed my selling offer and tried reposting and it says the same thing. I have a bunch of buy and sell offers for other items but have no idea which are considered the “same type” as big bones. Anyone have any idea? Not trying to remove all my offers and not being able to post them again.

This is a new validation rule put in place to prevent listing spam. There have been too many people that have created a ton of listings and filled up the homepage. To reduce spam and hopefully make the prices more meaningful, I’ve implemented a limit of three listings per type (buy or sell), meaning you can have three active buy listings and three active sell listings at once. This rule is put into place for any new listing that gets created.
At the time of me typing this, you currently have 5 buy listings and 7 sell listings. In order you create new listings, you either need to sell or delete the ones you have in right now.

I don’t really agree with this change as the prices of items are dictated by supply and demand and trying to “make prices more meaningful” will only reduce the total amount of buy and sell offers which I don’t understand how that is a good thing. I also don’t think spam on the homepage is a problem because I assume everyone just looks up whatever item they want to buy or sell. I’ve never looked at the homepage for anything personally. This will just make people buying and selling several items at once more reliant on the forums which doesn’t seem as active as the new market you added. Just figured I’d give my feedback. I appreciate your feedback and I do understand your view, although I do think quite a few people use the homepage to view listings. I’ve received a solid number of complaints about listings being pushed down quickly because some players have a massive amount of listings up.
I do still think that a massive number of listings is harmful and can artificially push prices up or down. I’m fine with allowing more of them to be posted, but I do still want to limit it. I’m thinking 8 is more than enough (the amount of GE slots). It will technically be 16, because you’ll be able to post 8 buy and 8 sell.
What I’ll do to still solve the homepage spam issue is only show the first three listings per username. So if you have 6 listings up, it will only show your latest 3 on the front page. I think that’s a fair compromise.
I still need to figure out the database query to make that work… but I’ll get it eventually 
Ah ok that makes sense, the homepage must be more used than I realized. Honestly 3 buy and 3 sell slots still isn’t that bad considering there are only so many items in the game but I’m not against having more… Have a good one!
I have Latest bookmarked and check occasionally, and scroll down past listings to see if there’s anything else interesting
