This date is almost exactly the date I began playing RS in 2004. This is such a great project. Jagex would be wise to uphold their history… Of course bots are such an irrevocable issue nowadays with AI and current software, but for some reason many* devs incuding Jagex think people won’t enjoy older stuff. People will enjoy it. The market is so diluted that games from any time in the past can still be enjoyable. I was thankful when OSRS came out, but this has revitalized so many memories from so long ago. Amazing stuff. Thank you.

Remember you can always download the server and your character’s progress to continue offline. Old RS can never disappear again.
I just took a glance at the server repository and noticed you guys don’t have any branches. I’d think you have a branch per release, so you ‘freeze’ code for 2004 into a rel/2004 branch or whatnot.
I was looking for a post like this. This is sick! Forums seem like a really great idea.
