I’m currently deciding whether to invest in a Rune Short or a Rune Scimitar, and I’m looking for some advice. I know both are popular weapons, but I’m trying to figure out which one is better for general use, especially in terms of damage output, cost-effectiveness, and overall utility.
Cost effectiveness - sword is the clear winner.
Damage output, overall utility & effectiveness - scimitar is the winner here, not by much but it is a clear winner when you compare the attack & strength bonuses of both weapons. The difference in DPS & exp is negligible in the short term but if you plan on doing some combat for a long period and have some big grinds ahead then invest in the scim.
How much more xp per hour would i get with scim instead of short? is it like 20% more xp when using scim or how would you measure it?
Considering most of the monsters on rs are weak to slash, scimitar is the better weapon.
This is wrong, when you look at most f2p npc’s on the wiki they all mostly have equal defence to stab, slash, & crush.
