hello, is there any form of using big bones on an altar in 2004? or should i just bury them for xp?
There is not. Using bones on the wilderness chaos altar was an OSRS update. The first authentic buff to prayer training methods would have been Ectofuntus in early 2005. Gilded altar came with construction in 2006.
For now, the best you can do is bury bones

I’d just bury big bones. Dragon bones might be worth saving till ectofuntus which comes out around Slayer. I’ve got about 2.5k I’ve collected that I’m saving till then :P.

Do as many quests as you can that give exp, other than that go kill some dragons maybe - will make some gp from hides maybe a few clues getting to 43 prayer
