Please buckle down on cheaters on Members release

There’s going to be a big influx of people trying to get ahead of everyone else to try and maximize profits and personal experience in OSRS has taught me people will do the shadiest and scummiest of things to gain a little bit of gold and glory.

Multi-logging, under-the-table exchanges and scamming will become more frequent. People who do this aren’t real players in the eyes of myself and I’d assume the majority of " legit " players.

Give them absolutely no slack in punishments for themselves or others involved.

I am confident that the staff will take it extremely seriously, as they have done with other things in the past.

They strive to make the game as enjoyable for the gamers as possible.

Do you think mods are incentivized to turn a blind eye to cheaters? Have they been lax on cheaters during f2p so far?

No and no. Quite the opposite. Over 1000 accounts have already been banned.

I have definitely seen some sus accounts

I want to also ask the staff to crack down on rule breakers. When idiots are spam closing doors in prominent locations such as Aubury’s Rune Shop in Varrock on busy worlds, even after multiple warnings to stop and they continue to do so for a period of time. This includes bots which should be easy to identify as long as myself and the rest of the community call them out and report them also providing screenshots, etc.

The overreaction to this kind of behaviour is worrying. Closing doors isn’t against the rules. Annoying players isn’t against the rules. Spam click through the door and you’ll make it through. Hop worlds if you are really having trouble with it. It’s not that big of a deal.

We got you, player.
Report in-game, and remember that severe rule-breakers and unfair-advantage-gainers are doomed to ultimately waste all of their time and effort as they are eventually caught, removed, and fade into forgettable obscurity.
