I am still 1 defense currently 28 prayer, can tell you some things I did that seemed good/efficient.
Training on Wizards is good for getting runes, suggest trying to get 40 range for the green d’hide mage defense.
After Wizards, I’ve been training on (Hill) Giants, from 50-60 strength. Just using up the trout I fished and getting the prayer level up.
I personally wouldn’t put much effort into range at this point, best thing available is oak shortbow and steel arrows, just doesn’t seem seem that good to me. Depends what build you’re aiming for, but I plan to cannon most of my range to avoid the extra hitpoints levels, and I’ve been splashing my magic up.
If you’re in need of GP, I’ve been helping run rune essence to the mind altar for runecrafters getting 6x in return, it’s good money even if you buy the essence, and can be really chill and AFK if you have some people to follow!
You can start at the Wizards pretty early. I’d say 20 attack 20 strength would be good. Blue wizards to start, and once you get 40-41 combat, the Dark wizards south of Varrock. Higher combat so the lv 20 doesn’t attack you.
As for money, I’ve really been making a lot of GP running mind runes. Just bringing essence to the altar for runecrafters.
Why do you want to stay as a pure? There are few advantages to staying 1 defence other than being cool
My strategy is this: I will be staying 1 defence until members content is released, because then I can just quest Dragon Slayer and Holy Grail to quickly get 40 defence. In the mean time, I’ve gotten 43 prayer from burying bones/big bones at the boneyard. It sucked…but now I can fight any monster in the game without taking much damage. My plan is to kill chaos dwarves for the keys and then stay relatively low cb to avoid big teams.
