Early info for the forum users! Friday October 24 at 12:30 PM Eastern I’ll shut down the worlds briefly to move to our next game revision, which is July 13 2004 (245).
There will be up to 2 hours of downtime while I do server maintenance at the same time.
This update features 2 new quests and a new area to (re)experience.
In other recent news,
OSRS Grid Master starts today (October 15) and runs for the next 4 weeks.
Jagex is updating more quest journals in OSRS to polish their First Time User Experience. Great for marketability, bad for history.
Anything we fail to capture in time has to be sourced from available screenshot, video, RS3, and wiki sources. Some quest journals have special logic when/if text appears and we hope we don’t miss out on any tiny details!
We’re racing against the clock to preserve what information we can so it lives on in this time capsule.
In my opinion branches should always be considered “YMMV” until the day they go live here, if you’re expecting a seamless experience running it yourself. There can always be last minute bug fixes.
Can finally fix my bank. Accidentally took out some placeholders and some areas got wonky. Gold boots & Gloves will be nice, too.
I believe we can collect Mort Myre Fungus we just can’t use them yet. They’re used in nature spirit but super energies
aren’t added till later.
Ghasts might be an interesting training spot. 30 prayer XP automatically when you kill them and they have a 25% chance to roll the herb drop table. 45 HP. There’s potential I think.
There’s the nature altar at the southern part of the swamp and you the altar on the other side of the River Salve. With agility it shouldn’t be TOO bad but I don’t think we get the agility obstacle for a few months. So nature altar would be my guess. Someone will have to test ;).
