So I logged out about 2 hours ago to run to the store for a drink and food, came back and the noted 1005 logs and 146 hides I had are gone.
I am a new player, so this isn’t a huge deal as it was just oak logs and cow hides, but I want to make sure this isn’t a common thing, and will I have to worry about losing more expensive stuff in the future if this is a bug?
Also this was NOT an random event that caused this issue, as I had just put the stuff into my inventory before logging out.
The only thing I can think of is maybe you clicked log out, and maybe misclicked it and looked away?
I’ve done that before.
Other than that. I am not sure. :\
I can say, if this is a bug, it has never happened to me, so fair to say it is NOT common. I’ve also never heard anyone say this has been an issue - and I’ve been playing for months.
So sorry I don’t have the answer. But not something you’d regularly have to worry about.

Your inventory was scattered by a genie about three hours ago. 2004 is a strange and dangerous place, it’s very risky to afk or even look away from your screen for more than a 20-30 seconds at a time.

Oh god… So it was a me mistake. I just clicked the X in the top right, which left my character in game for some time. I bet that is when it happened.
It’s my fault. I need to learn to log out correctly from now on. Being in a hurry got me into a pickle it seems. Thanks for looking into that for me Branon! <3
If it makes you feel any better. I’ve lost 2k nats by the genie as well haha! And that was almost half my bank then.

Just make sure to log out from the game log out button and you’re all good. also - quick tip - if you’re in a crowded area, doing something like alching (or any action) make sure you pay attention to your surroundings (as much as is reasonable of course lmao)
