I think you crashed to be honest.
And just to make it clear, and my last post over this instance. The edit button exists to allow users to, well, edit their posts. Thus not spamming their messages in sequence. Anyone can use it as many times as they like, if itās for making yourself more transparent and lucid, registering your āfinalā words. If inappropriate, the forum mods can delete it or notify the user.

Kkkevin youāre sounding nutso brother. We are the dummies setting the prices, prying them out of peoples hands is the hard part. Itās a 4 month process that we clearly donāt have the patience for (I say we but Iām fine with how itās going, havenāt pulled a rare yet either). Stop blaming and projecting. Either cough up the money to pry a rare from someone , or get back to gaming and wait your turn. It isnāt hard

can we stay on topic, the topic being that lower tier rares should be a little bit more obtainable than they are now - not only is that authentic to how it was in 2004 - but it allows anyone to have a rare to store value and climb the latter without having to mine 100k coal.

I think the general masses wouldnt be opposed to this, at least something staying authentic. Not criticizing how the implementation has been either by saying that. If I gauge the situation, I would say big daddy Pazaz wanted / needed to make sure wearables were out at the beginning otherwise there would be twenty other posts about āwhereās the high tier rares! whereās the wearables! We need bigger doors! (South Park reference)ā now that we are seeing them , and weāve also seen how the drop rates can be tamed with these āsneaking suspicionsā. I have a feeling we will see more balance in the form of Easter egg weekend and pumpkin weekend - this is complete speculation. I also feel like the end will be back to free for all and perhaps a new meta rare will emerge. The community post is the only real way weāve been able to pin point these statistics.

I agree the admins have done a great job with the bans. Multilogging, macroing, RWT, and so on are deserving of nothing less than permanent removal from this game.
However, inciting people to crash out and then getting them muted is in itself a detriment to the community. And it hasnāt gone unseen by a significant portion of the community, either.

I disagree. If rares increase, they should all equally increase. Why would I want to increase my odds 1/3 of the way through the event of only lower tier rares being that getting two rares is incredibly unlikely?
There isnāt really an argument for preservation more than what Pazaz has already done. Itās impossible. āGetting closerā is subjective. It really comes down to Pazazās purpose for the event because itās not a true preservation attempt.
Common Ground: Iād love to see the odds of rares increase.

EXACTLY! Pazaz has one central goal for this server - preservation of a historically accurate version of early RS. If everyone has a rare like most of you cry babies are asking for then this will feel like a cheap private server not an authentic replica. Due to the fact every player knows the end game for rares, they MUST be rare from day 1. Imagine a year from now and every single player is running around with a rare/pking in raresā¦ like I said that would feel like some cheap spawn server type shit

rares should be rare, I dont get why thereās so many cry babies. Hopefully pazaz isnt influenced by them and boost rates, because they will never be happy and always complain.

Iām not saying EVERYONE should get one, Not even close. I also think only 1 purple hat as a unicorn item is a bit steep. I think there is a happy medium in the middle and Their value will still retain a steep price tag regardless, so I donāt know why your stressing out about it. They would probably be selling for 150 M - 200m Right now but the reality is nobody has that much GP, so they are selling for what people have and can afford pretty much.
If 200 come into the game even if 400 come into the game. Mercherās are 100% going to hoard them and they will sky rocket in value. It just means more people get to enjoy the event and leave with at least something even if itās just a pumpkin or an egg.
I donāt understand why you see this as a problem to be fair brother.
IF there is 10 blue hats or 15 they will still be worth a metric f ton, it aināt that serious. It just means 5 more people are happy and enjoy their time playing the game.

I almost get the feeling that the people who are unhappy want a world where all current active players can get rares, so that when (if) the server becomes much more popular with a huge player base, then we will all be the rich ones.
However, I feel people are forgetting that the number of rares must be relative to how many active players we have now. After this event is finished, will we have enough rares if the server hits 1k players online at any time later down the line? Probably not - so what do we do then? More rare events later? Or do we stack hundreds of rares now amongst the low player base now and let the price change organically later? This isnāt possible either, because no matter how saturated the rares are, we already know their future value to the player base if we have a large population - therefore the majority will hold them.
Itās honestly an impossible job for Pazaz & co. - I donāt envy them, and I imagine this is why the official Runescape (OSRS) never implemented rares to be rares once again - because it can never be perfect.
Lastly, the team has stated many times that this serverās number one focus is development. The server is a welcome by-product but their intentions and goals were not to create and host a successful private server. I remember Pazaz saying if people play, great, if not it doesnāt matter, as itās just a passion project to them.
P.S. I donāt have any rares yet either.

Itās truly impossible to make the discontinued experience of this game the same as it was in real 2004 because everybody here is fanatical enough to be playing a browser game from 2004. Itās a completely different dynamic than when most of the player base was made up of tweens on school library computers.
Personally, I think the best way to recreate the feel would be for Santas and Masks to be much more common than they were in actual 2004 so that the experience of being able to get one at level 70 or 80 like you could as an average player in 2004 was preserved.
Edibles should be rarer than phats though.

the only ones stressing are the ones who say theyre getting burnt out and rares should be a given. hahaha im chillin i got my rare but trust me if i didnt i wouldnt be trying to tell the OWNER OF THE SERVER that he is messing up by not making rares so common that they actually get one. its a preservation server not a spawn server. just cos yall havent had the RNG to roll a rare doesnt mean the way PAZAZ has implemented it is wrong. the way you guys act is like that guy who never gets any girls and says its the girls fault 
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and the majority agree, it was implemented poorly. Itās not even close to preserving the server because the rate to player ratio to even get the rares is so low that it was better off not having the event to begin with. Hween masks and santa hats were way more common and now we have a system that made party hats more common. Itās poor, it sucks, its dogshit. Itās the way Pazaz wanted it. Itās his server he can do what he wants. The majority have decided itās not worth their time invested because itās looking like the server will be dead soon anyway, so why invest the time in anymore?

Bro how is it our fault we donāt get laid when you got a rare and we didnāt? Like yeah sure itās not 100% girls fault because obviously youāre an objectively a better man, but itās obviously just not fair that Pazaz made a situation where you get to be so much cooler than 90% of the player base.
And then you have the nerve to LAUGH emoji at our tears? Do you have any idea how terrible it feels to have to do things on the weekend besides play a remake of a browser game from 2004? Do you know what it is to look into the laughing eyes of your child and just KNOW that no matter how much time you spend playing with them at the beach, theyāll never spawn a solitary easter egg into your cooler?

Iāve been thinking it over in my head too. They need to be pretty expensive or else s8 will just own 6 of them. (Sorry to throw you under the bus haha). At this current price point, itās going to be dam hard to purchase one, but it keeps the goblins from hoarding them up. What a conundrum. The small community aspect is going to work its magic a little bit, I dont see too many people looking to make a marchers day by selling them a rare even if their offer is slightly higher then the next guy. Iāll be back tomorrow with a totally different opinion on the matter. Stay tuned.
