I don’t quite understand the question.
Hiscores were a thing in early RSC.
Global chat ala RSPS was never a thing. FC was added in 2007 though.
The systems are server side and not included in any client-downloaded files. A backend still needs to recreate all the logic or be reverse engineered from observable behavior.
If you’re looking to add global chat to your own project it isn’t much effort
Ok thanks for explaining it to me.
do you mind putting vscape on the low detail section?
Am I taking crazy pills? Please speak clearer people …
He wants the Play screen to show other servers, including vscape
(I don’t think it’s a bad idea but it’s quite a different one)
Ah, the ad spot is meant for open-source servers they also need to value authenticity and stand out in some fashion.
I own and run 20xxscape.org, which lists all known remakes already.
I was wondering who ran that!! I’m surprised you don’t have a column for being open source
Thanks for sharing these awesome projects. I’ve got another RSC project to add to the list Dragonfire
They have two servers (Vanilla and Dynasty). Dynasty features a lot of custom content, and most notably, they recently implemented the Slayer skill into the game.
P.S. All thoughts based on the podcast. I think at least one member of the Lost City dev team isn’t eager to train Slayer in RSC now either.
