Item Switching Innacurate?

The ‘speed’ in which you could switch items had a slight delay before like 2010 in the original Runescape. And Jagex updated the item switching. So that would make this 2004 version inaccurate in that regard. You couldn’t “1-tick switch” 6 pieces of gear back then because it wasn’t possible if I’m not mistaken. Watch Nukearcher’s 10 item switch with spec video from 2009 & tell me if I’m wrong. I remember it having a mechanic to prevent such fast switching. Correct me if I’m wrong but I remember there being a delay.

Good catch, definitely seems slower than how OSRS is now at least.

Also it’s a damn shame that he pulled off that insane stunt for the time just to hit a 0 and 2 ;_;

Thank you. Certainly. OSRS at first when it released in 2013, it had that same “slow switch” mechanic I believe as well but it’s obviously been updated if that’s the case. I understand a lot of the pkers may be against this, but if you’re trying to be genuine to the period you can’t skip over that detail. Like, pking was just more fun back then and that certainly had something to do with it IMO. I believe the update happened Sep. 2nd 2009 if you search on Google for sep 2009 patch notes you’ll see an update named, “changed how your clicks are processed” under the 2nd of sep miscellaneous updates or something as an update & I think that was that exact patch but it could also be a bit after that’s just what I dug up thus far.
