how to you send a pm in this game?

perhaps you didn’t listen closely enough!
You have to use the friends list, bottom-left tab, looks like a smiley face:
Click a name, type a message, hit enter.
ah okay, I though there might’ve been a way without being friends. so when people on the market say to send them a pm do they mean on the forum or in game? thanks for the answer btw 
In game. Not everyone on the market even uses the forum, and their forum name may be different from their ign.
