How do I get a fishing rod?

Hi. Just started 2004Scape and I want this experience to be as immersive as possible. I don’t want to google my problems. So…can someone tell me how to get a fishing rod? I forgot and I am hungry and desperate. Thanks.

Now I have to figure out how to get to Port Sarim. I have definitely been handicapped by QOL stuff…

There’s also the newcomer map available from the Lumbridge general store.
