Hi, my name is Silentio. I’ve played RuneScape off-and-on in some capacity since 2005. OSRS rekindled my love of the game after several years’ inactivity, but as that game departed further and further from its RS2 roots I grew increasingly disillusioned with it.
I was involved with ScapeRune a bit many years ago, my only other experience with a PS. It seemed to offer what I was missing, but it eventually added several things I didn’t personally like, particularly an XP multiplier. By that point my desire for authenticity was too great and I drifted away from ScapeRune, though I still appreciate the dev team’s work there.
When I first heard about Lost City a few days ago I could hardly believe it. This is exactly what I wished for: a totally vanilla, faithful recreation of RS2 that seeks to recreate the original without compromise. Having read what the dev team has already done and what they plan to do, I applaud them for their work and vision in preserving the history of this beloved game.
