What is or was your favourite retro video game? 
For me it has to be Pokémon on the Nintendo Gameboy and also Digimon World on the Playstation Classic back in the day.

Diablo 1 and 2. Absolute masterpieces. The Tristram theme is the greatest video game music ever written and you cannot change my mind.
I am also very fond of the GameCube, so I have to mention Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Baldur’s Gate 1 and Icewind Dale, assuming those are retro… I’m not a big fan of BG2 but it’s okay as well.

Super Smash Bros was 
Original Super Mario Bros. and SMB3 for the NES are all timers for me. Super Mario 64 is also amazing and I’ve always loved the original Smash Bros. for N64, got good with Fox and would school all my friends. Goldeneye 007 and Mario Kart/Party for the N64 are still great to pull out with some friends over too.

Digimon World was brutal man, never made it to the end of that game. I remember Digimon World 3 being pretty cool too.

Can’t believe I forgot SMW. Romhacks probably don’t count, but I love the VIPS and similar series.

star fox. link to the past, OG mario kart, illusion of gaia, diddy kong racing, need for speed underground 2, dragon quest monsters,TMNT, streets of rage. all goldies imo.

I’m into horror genre, specially the two original Silent Hill and the Resident Evil classic trilogy.
SMW and SM64 are favorites too.
