Is the glove selection a one time thing? or can they be changed?
Changing gauntlets is not possible until Aug 30 2005 update, where the 25k fee is introduced

I’d recommend picking Cook gloves. Gold gloves are useless without Blast Furnace. Chaos gloves are only good for bolt spells but lvl 41+ mage and you unlock blast spells, and you need 59 mage to complete the quest anyway.
I don’t want to pick on you too badly for writing Crescent instead of Crest, but now I am imagining a Family Croissant quest.

Personally I think I’ll pick Chaos Gauntlets.
Klanks Gauntlets from underground pass will be for combat stats.
Cooking gauntlets are somewhat pointless since there are so many dedicated cookers with high cooking.
Goldsmith are nice for XP but you don’t really need smithing XP post 50. Smithing is going to be pretty pointless soon (85+).
So 15 damage for a single chaos rune seems the best route.

You think Cookers will always swap cooked for raw? Including sharks?
If this stays popular someone is going to go for 200m or at least rank #1. Now we don’t have cook-x and won’t for another “year” (came out 2005). But for sure when that update hits.
Edit: Cooking is a skill that people chasing ranks often do instead of bank stand. That’s why make-x will guarantee that they will. Until they it might be a little harder.
