@Rizer are you able to tell me which quests specifically are causing issues for your play style?
For the talismans, you are able to get a cosmic from the mysterious old man and an air talisman as part of rune mysteries. Pickpocketing wizards for talismans is a cool idea - I’ll look at building that out.
Heroes quest is the quest i could never do as a lvl 3 skiller. It would unlock runite ore in the guild and a place to recharge glorys. To unlock this quest would be huge for my account.
Still having a blast! Today is day 5 for me, and I just hit total level 1000, lol. Today was my first time ever doing Shilo Village quest!
Really enjoying the updates, you’re doing awesome. Will you ever implement other area maps for the teleports? Im definitely okay still using the runes, was just curious if you planned on only having it for the starting area?
I’ve swapped the shops selling empty vials to sell full ones instead (I mean why are they even selling them empty, no one wants empty vials, it doesn’t make business sense!)

I’ve got this in the backlog but it’s a bit tricky - the database has the highscores in it but I’m not sure how to show them to you.
I had a play with the flax and I think it’s probably working well enough. I managed to get a full inventory with just two clicks.
Still mulling the quests, I don’t think it’s balanced to be able to skip the Heroes Quest and all of its pre-reqs but I would like pures to be viable so gotta strike the right balance.
I have created my own skiller and am giving it a go to experience the quirks myself (although I don’t really have the patience, I’m more a 100x XP kinda guy I think )
@Laura - glad to hear you are enjoying it! I hadn’t planned on creating new maps but I’m not against it either. I think it’s important to force folks to brave the wolves crossing the mountain at least once, how do you reckon it could be balanced?
Well day 3 in the books and finally got my first 99. So going to train something new now. Thanks for looking into the high scores for me. As for the vials thats great news thanks!!! Ill also give flax another go tomorrow and see how it works.
Also the wolves are not that big of a deal only died once out of 10 times i crossed them. Just wanted a faster way to get to seers from falador, since i hate exp waste. I love the teleports on the map and hope it might get expanded one day.
Does the game come with a built in forums or is that separate?
Not sure if it would be possible with how the current map/ things work in 2004, but was thinking perhaps adding another map only in the ardougne shop that has the teleports for the kandarin area? Again, if you’re wanting to add a bit of difficulty and feel like it’s not needed, completely understand! Just was wondering how many “relics” you’re wanting to add to the game.
I was thinking about the access for the skillers/pures for the heroes guild, as well as the issue with finding someone who is willing to complete all the steps needed for the heroes quest to be completed. To make it easier, could we make it similar to the champions guild, where only quest point amount is needed?
Would still have a pretty decent requirement, but I think between the f2p quests and the p2p, you could get 55 QP for it to “complete” the quest without needing to train any combat/ gain any combat exp? (I could be wrong!)
After you enter the Heroe’s guild with the 55 QP required, you’d “complete” the quest, and mark off the need for Legends Quest. If you think that’s too easy for it, completely understand- just making a suggestion.
So after thinking about it for awhile, i have changed my stance on auto quest completion. If there where any players that wanted to do all the quests as a achievement, I wouldn’t want to take away that from anybody.
So instead i think the idea of making a second map with teleports from the members section was a better suggestion.
We can’t just add things in the game that benefit one players style of play but benefit every player if they choice to use these items.
As for the tailsmans, i think a good suggestion would be if a none monster npc drops them you should beable to pick pocket them for a possible drop. Example guards drop the body tailsman.
Hello I’ve been having a mull and I quite like the idea that the entry requirement for the Heroes Guild be changed to just a quest point requirement (potentially also for Legends).
This is still a difficult requirement, so doesn’t trivialise access and is, IMO, the most pragmatic/straightforward option from a technical POV.
For talisman access, I’m planning to make wizard’s pickpocket-able for talismans.
The clue compass is high on my list - this would enable you to teleport to the target for the current (or first) clue scroll in your inventory.
At this stage, I’m keen to keep experimenting with different perks / relics / tweak options that are easily/immediately accessible. This lets everyone try them out and give feedback without having to invest a load of time first.
Glad to hear wizards will be able to give tailsmans. Im waiting to train runecrafting until that comes into the game.
If possible could you please look at vials and eye of newts. I believe those are the only two items that when you try and note them it only lets you add it if you press the item first. Every other item lets you press either the item or bank note first. Most of the time i play on a tablet and it saves me alot of time if i can spam click both to bank note something.
If you consider the map idea that was suggested is it possible to expand the free to play map to include taverley and Al Khard. Maybe the map could be renamed to Magical Map instead of Newcomer map lol.
Also if possible could we get a place to sell potions like all the other items have a place to sell items to. I was thinking like the druid we buy vials and newts from or maybe the witch that makes dyes. Theres also the witch that sells runes in port sarim. Use would be very useful as a dedicated store usually pays more then the general store.

Unfortunately the issues with the bankers note and certain items are numerous any item which can be used with another item for anything (ball of wool for example) only supports being used on the note. To fix it I’d have to change every place that their scripts are defined and it’s not a fun task I think in later versions of RuneScape scripting they must have a better way of doing this (or maybe I just don’t know how).
Its not that big of a deal because it still works, but thanks for explaining it to me.

So i downloaded your open source version of the game and tried to install it on my laptop incase something happens to your server. That way i can play a single world offline. Problem is it won’t work and i have no idea how to fix it.
It says error .obj verification failed! Custom data detected.
Set BUILD_VERIFY=false in your .env file if this is intended.
Could you please fix this file for me and redownload it or explain how i do it and save the file.

Hiya - this is expected, you need to create a .env file and put BUILD_VERIFY=false in it. This is because the custom items (bankers note, bone dissolver) are considered custom data.
