Features Overview
The following features are built out and working,
Infinite run energy.
AFK Timer Increased to 9000s.
Exponential XP multipliers.
Basic “Iron” mode.
Infinite shop stock.
Free teleports through the “Newcomer Map” item (available in Lumbridge General store).
Banker’s note for easy noting and un-noting of items.
Clue Compass to teleport to the current clue step.
Level up screen is skipped until level 25 for levels without any unlocks.
Respawn rates (NPCs and objects) lowered to 1/3rd standard.
Herblore skill starts at level 3.
Buy-50 option in shops.
Automated / streamlined several skills.
“Iron” Mode
I created a very basic form of the official mode:
Trading is disabled.
Duelling is disabled (this was a bit lazy, I could work out how to disable just staking).
Selling to shops does not add items to the shop for others to buy.
Player drops only show for the player who dropped the items.
Note: Only quest items for Arrav and Heroes Quest will show for other players when dropped, including items dropped on player death by PvP. Unfortunately there is no reward in this game mode, at present, for defeating another player in PvP except the sense of pride and accomplishment.
Experience Multipliers
Experience multipliers are per skill and increase exponentially as the skill level increases.
Here is a graph showing how the multiplier increases as you level up in the skill:
I chose this method because I wanted to keep the pace of the early game as an iron-person while otherwise delivering the much faster progression expected in leagues.
Mining rocks never deplete and mining continues automatically.
Gnome Agility course laps complete automatically (thanks to @Red_Bracket!)
“Bone Dissolver” item to auto-bury bones for Prayer XP.
Magic alchemy and superheating automatically re-cast.
Smithing bars automatically smelts the next ore.
Cooking automatically cooks the next food item.
Fletching automatically repeats all fletching actions.
Crafting gems automatically cuts the next gem.
Herblore brewing automatically brews the next potion.
Herblore pickpocket farmers to get unidentified herbs.
While Runecrafting you can use runes on rune talismans to convert them to rune essence.
Automatically pick flax.
Shops sell filled vials instead of empty.

Pures / Skillers
To accommodate more ways of playing a few changes have been made:
Wizards can be pickpocketed for talismans.
Heroes’ Guild only requires 55 QP to enter.
Farmers can be pickpocketed for herbs.
Clue caskets can give clue scrolls as rewards.
Herblore secondaries and bones can be obtained as rewards from the mysterious old man.
You can pickpocket a scroll from Watchmen in Yanille to skip the Watch Tower quest. Unlocks Yanille tele.
You can pickpocket a scroll from the Knights of Ardougne to skip the Plague City quest. Unlocks Ardougne tele.
Future Development
So very much the philosophy here is to make small but mighty changes. This is so that it’s easy to adopt updates from 2004Scape as they become available.
I absolutely love the idea! Will check it out tonight.
Early feedback:
There should 100% be seasons for this, just like real Leagues. It will give you time to address issues and add content without devaluing players’ work
Do you have the source code published somewhere? Lots of the current game is currently feature complete, so I can see new devs looking to help out and add content here
It’s a fork of the main repo and all the changes are on the Noobscape branch.
Sorry for the downtime - there seems to be an issue causing the server to crash.
I think it’s related to death - I’m debugging it atm.
It could also be that the EC2 instance is still too small, I’m rocking a T2.small at the moment which was the least I could get away with for it to actually start but it might not be enough for more than 2 players at once.
However, that bug doesn’t crash the whole server, just logs the player impacted out. I’ll test the afk logout theory next as I did increase the logout timer so it might be doing something weird.

The death you’re talking about happened on one account (Red Bracket), but Blue Bracket also got the “Error connecting to server” after it was kicked for AFK.
I know I’ve only played for like 2 mins, but some things I’d love to see:
Some sort of Leagues UI (I saw someone making a pokemon style game in the dev server, so custom interfaces seem possible?)
League points (you mentioned adding a quest completing command - Maybe use points to skip quests? )
Ofc the neat League items. I’m sure you’ve seen Pazaz’s implementation of the Power Miner: 2004 - Leagues V: Power Miner
Anyways, big potential here since it’s a different server but we can multilog it at the same time as 2004scape official. Keep it up!
Just to clarify here - I think the kick for AFK was just bad timing and another case of me mucking around with the server as I try to get it all working smoothly. Sorry about that.
I’m very keen for all of these ideas My personal skills don’t quite extend to any of them at this stage but I’m learning as I go.
I did consider just a straight up ::skip command for quests that’d let you have a quest be “complete” without getting the rewards.
I think a lot of stuff is possible if you start messing with the client - that’s a little bit tricky at the moment as the client is a separate repository. So would need to come up with a strategy for that without making it too tricky to adopt changes from the 2004Scape repo.
I’ve edited the thread title to include “[ALPHA]” to indicate that it’s a WIP since I’m still wrangling the task of keeping it online and rolling out new features / changes.
On that last note, I’ve added a Buy 50 option! Thanks to @blubalub for this suggestion, it should now be a lot easier to purchase runes and arrows.
Auto thieving and the bankers note are now deployed.
All new accounts will receive the bankers note after logging in. If you want it on your existing account just post here and I’ll add it to your account.
