What's your favorite music track?

Dark2 which is the OG barb village sound. Love it

A fun fact I noticed about that… When they added Barbarianism, that included not only the village but also the part of Edgeville dungeon with the giants, but the place in the wildy with giants still plays Dark. I always thought the musical connection between barbarians and giants was neat.

Still pretty good, and here it is on hard drive speakers :stuck_out_tongue:

I did a bunch of other songs (playlist), and here’s a few more RS ones:

It has got to be Waterfall for me.

Even tho its from one of the areas I’ve least visited in-game, i think the music blends perfectly with its atmosphere. Probably the one I find its melody to be the most beautiful of the game, evoking a calm mysticism that I strive on such landscape for a western rpg.

Waterfall fits the setting so well, I really love that song. There is also waterfall song in castlevania 3 on NES, I was shocked to hear it sounds along similar lines to the runescape song.

My 2nd favorite quest due to the music

Ran into Still Night today, this is a very nostalgic one for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVjbGvHN-IY I love the slow start and then the faster second half.

Yeah, that’s my favorite one. I even recorded it myself once using my collection of silly instruments! https://0x0.st/8UUK.mp3

I need to redo it some time.

Aztec is interesting: Aztec - OSRS Wiki

  • I like March 2007’s version the most for harder details! Although I’m only familiar with it from Agility arena on RS3 :stuck_out_tongue: (I did it on Ironman for an achievement or diary but haven’t had reason on other RSs; did OSRS rooftops for marks)

  • I didn’t know about June 2004’s version, but it doesn’t sound anything like the later ones. Not sure if it’d have the same vibe in that arena.

  • The July-Sept 2004 version is milder than 2007/OSRS. I’m sure I’ll get into it with some arena time, and it’ll probably sound cooler with a different soundfont!

Here’s the 2007 version on hard drive speakers :stuck_out_tongue:

Woah, there were two different versions of this track in 2004? Are there any other tracks like this?

I hated the 2007 music update.

Prior to that? All of them.

Some great ones have already been mentioned here, so I’ll bring up something different that ranks high (Knightly), the drums go hard:

And Yesteryear, which is self-explanatory:

Magic Dance also plays at Yanille if I’m not mistaken.

And yeah, one of the best.

I remember playing these songs on Youtube in the early 2010s, dreaming of RuneScape’s return.

Holy heck, I encountered Talking Forest in Mcgrubor’s Wood and when that saxophone or whatever it is kicks in… bliss!
