Shoot giant → get ranged exp → ??? → PROFIT!

(on my way to getting 43 prayer via big bones from giants in the Varrock/Edgeville dungeon)

I’m just trying to figure out how the average player fights to survive on this server….

Great server but I really feel like this server and its prices in game are a bit of a problem. I myself am an average player and I put a couple of hours in ever other day maybe or just when I feel like it.

I feel like if you are not grinding X amount of hours daily the average player simply gets left behind. Unless you get a very lucky drop or something the prices for everything just seem crazy for the average player to be able to afford. Even more so since rares have been introduced!

If anyone has any suggests how you are able to gain some cash with only a couple hours of game play every other day I’m all ears  HAPPY SCAPING :oncoming_fist:t3:

You really don’t need gp to progress. I rarely buy anything, just some runes and arrows occasionally and items that I am not able to get myself, such as a glory or ranging potions.

Sure I can’t afford a rare, but everything else is very affordable. BIS armour can be achieved with around 10 hours of effort, excluding the dragon . Just by picking flax, mining essence or crafting/running nature runes.

The only thing gp can do is speed up skills, but even that is limited to a handful of very wealthy players.

Thanks for the reply mate! I personally think it just puts the average player off playing as there is no hope for them to be honest with a couple of hours here and there! I don’t feel this server is for the average player however I love the game play and 04 so I’ll keep jumping on now and again.

When I finally get some time to play I’m going to make sure to be selling stuff the average players need at a reasonable price. Most of it seems down to greed at the end of the day and there is no need for it what so ever, since these rares have been introduced it seems to me players have got a whole lot worse too with the greed! Rich get richer and the poor stay poor!

plenty of easy ways to make $$$

cows for really low levels (hides are bank) or chaos druids (unids always in demand)

skilling - mining ess/iron/coal all good $$$

collecting secondaries for herb or flax have no requirements

I think we’re seeing some significantly higher prices than we remember from our middle school days due to the fact that most of us are now adults with less time to spend on gaming, and as such we make sure to price our items in a way that reflects the time and effort we put into acquiring them.

With no massive bot farms to run the prices of resources to the ground, the prices, in my opinion, more accurately reflect the fact that a grown person had to sit there for x amount of time collecting them.

My playstyle is largely centered around collecting most things myself, which first of all is very fulfilling but also more or less eliminates the feeling of playing a “gp simulator” game where I’m constantly on the lookout for the most profitable money makers to be able to afford resources to progress my skills.

You could mine ess and sell it and have full rune within the week as a pretty casual player.

Where is the best spot close to bank for iron and coal?

Just one classic example is Dragon Bones. Seriously? 2.5k-3k ea? Who has come up with that price? Is it seriously that hard and takes that much effort to safespot a dragon and then warrant that price tag? I highly doubt it. To me it’s just greed.

I just hop on and off these days, I did grind a fair few hours upon finding this server. However after realising you need more than a couple of hours here and there due to the prices in game and everything else I’ve cut right down. Still a great server just prices and what not for the average player must put them off
