Those berries are named for the effect they have on folks in Runescape – they render their bodies cold and lifeless!
Jagex slightly tweaked their name a bit later on
It is strange though considering they are called “cadavaberries” in RS Classic. I have a feeling this is similar to Herblaw/Herblore where there was confusion due to British accents.
fair enough, i retract my statement then if it was accurate to 2004, i started in feb 2005 so i must have missed that lol
According to the OSRS wiki, they were changed to cadava berries in late 2004.
