At least one person already got a rare (Christmas cracker) while mining ess and there’s a few people that i have talked to that plan on trying that method more.

With the exciting news that tradeable holiday rares will be obtainable over the next 4 months (on weekends), this thread will serve as an effort to track the number of rares and analyze how they’re obtained.
I’m hoping to gather enough information to better understand:
A rough estimate of numbers of rares in the game!
What can produce a rare item?
Are certain activities better than others?
Are all rares equally rare?
