Metal Dragons come out slightly before slayer update but we donāt have data for a while passed that. So yes metal dragons will be out before whips/d scim.

Is there anything the average man can do to help? I feel so useless, and I am normally a very useful individual but this is far outside my realm of skills. I do however have quite a bit of free time, I use it to enjoy 2004scape. If I can use that time to help the project at all I am open to any and all suggestions. Thanks!

Iām very happy with both the pace and the spirit of development on this game. I play pretty slowly and not as often as Iād like, but it means unlike in actual 2004/2005 I have a chance of exploring the whole game in depth, which is rewarding when thereās such attention to detail as there is here. Much love team.
Researching, testing, searching any old PCs still around. Data entry is also an option but itās tedious. Anyone who doesnāt want to learn to code can still help in other ways ![]()

Our 377 branch is in a better place for contributors to jump in, I just got done linking 2400+ NPC IDs with config names.
Talk about tedious!
Unpacking data starts with autogenerated placeholders like npc_315 (type + id), then someone has to go through and give them proper names. Itās a lot easier to write code when you know what something is.
We have the (WIP) OSRS client API to thank for publishing names btw.
They arenāt needed for us to make the server, it doesnāt change anything functionally, itās just nice to know weāre using original names where we can - typos and all. Sometimes I have to make educated guesses if theyāve clearly renamed or removed something.
Also, OSRS NPCs have a different ID ordering than RS2, so I had to go through each config to identify them manually and be sure of no false positives. Time to sleep!
I just wanted to say that even though literally 99% of what you say here flies right over my head i appreciate all the time and effort you put into this in keeping the game as authentic as possible and taking every precaution to make sure it stays that way
