After joining either gang, you can skip going to the museum by buying a Certificate for 10k and going to King Roald right away, without an opportunity of a 5k refund. Before starting the quest, you can gather the supplies quickly around the Port Sarim Area.
-Eye of Newt for 3gp from Betty’s Magic Emporium
-Onion from the garden East of Melzar’s Maze
-Kill a Giant Rat West of the Port Sarim Jail, then cook it in a house in Port Sarim, if you don’t burn it the first time, use (DO NOT EAT) on range again to successfully overcook it.
-After you start the quest, you can then get the rats tail from a small rat either inside the witch’s house, in another house, or in the streets. Good Luck

Your First Hours in 04Scape may go like this…(Short Story)
Fresh off Tutorial Island, you breathe Lumbridge fresh air and you hear a nice welcome from Hans, who notes the time you appeared before him. As you make your way into the castle to speak to the Duke, you can’t wait to start your adventure and must ask him if he has any quests for you to go on. He hands you a strange talisman that you never seen before, but you must figure out what it’s about to get some kind of reward and save the day! (BEGIN Rune Mysteries, may use drop trick for multiple talismans if you wish)
As you go up the stairs one more time you realize you are on the roof with logs and a sneaking suspicion that someday there will be construction to make a bank up here. You now go down the south staircase to the lower level to find a mind rune on the floor that you can not resist picking up since you bet these days a mind rune costs 25gp at most each! As you pass the kitchen door you hear the Chef yell out like a cry for help “What am I to do?? Oh dear, what a terrible mess!!” You don’t dare go in right now, as that sounds like another quest that you will have to do later. First you must visit the church as you heard there has been a haunting in the graveyard from the locals, and that sounded more of an interesting quest. (BEGIN Restless Ghost)
Father Aereck told you to speak to Father Urhney who he said is in the Swamp. If you try to go throughout the graveyard you find the gate has no opening, but again, have a sneaking suspicion that there will be one in the future. Start to make your way north around the castle walls to the swamp, avoiding the bears, goblins, spiders, and giant rats, all the way to Father Urhney’s house in the South East Corner, in which he will give you a amulet of ghost speak. Head back to the graveyard and open the coffin to speak to the ghost. Make your way to the wizards tower with both missions to understand the talisman and help the ghost. Into the basement, grab the skull from the alter and RUN AWAY. Then talk to Wizard Sedridor about the talisman who will give you a research package for Aubury in Varrock.
(BEGIN Witch’s Potion) Make your way to Port Sarim’s Magic shop, AKA Betty’s Magic Emporium and buy an eye of newt. Sell runes for money if needed. Then head west of the jail and slay a giant rat for its raw meat. Head to a stove in a Port Sarim house and cook the meat. Use the meat on the stove twice to burn if you cooked successfully the first time. Now head to the onion field north of Rimmington and pick a few onions. Now head to the witches house in Rimmington and offer your help bewing her potion, cause you have all the stuff. Now you can kill a small rat for its tail somewhere in rimmington. (Finish Witch’s Potion)
(BEGIIN Romeo & Juliet) With a newfound knowledge of dark magic, you feel like you can now help star-crossed lovers! Head Varrock from Rimmington by going through the woods west of Draynor Maynor and through Barbarian Village. As you enter Varrock from the west side, you notice Juliet on the patio of the house just outside of the city. When you enter the Varrock Square there is a man who comes right to you looking worried. “Have you seen my Juliet?” You are now invested in the forbidden love that ends not the way anyone would have expected. (FINISH Romeo & Juliet)
Make your way to the sword shop and sell your bronze weapons and buy a Steel Sword. Go to the dummys just south of the museum to get level 8 Attack in order to wield it. Make your way to Aubery’s Magic shop and continue Rune Mysteries. From there you can go back to the Wizard’s tower to FINISH RUNE MYSTERIES and back to Lumby to FINISH RESTLESS GHOST. Now you can mine Rune Essence for starting Money and buy Quest Kits from Fran_2004.

Have someone make you a ring of dueling for emergency teleport. It becomes useful if you are stuck in a cutscene or a tight space with a swarm random that is killing you! You have been WARNED!
27 Crafting, 27 Magic
- Prince Ali Rescue - Don’t afk around the jail, guards are deadly
- Imp Catcher - Amulet is useful for beginning combat training
- Cooks Assistant - Bake me a cake as fast as you can and mark it with a “Fran” for you and me.
- Sheep Shearer - Hand over the 20 balls of wool sold to you, don’t tell Farmer Fred where they came from.
- Ernest the Chicken - Be careful with the skeleton, use the key on door to get through!
- Shield of Arrav - Join Pheonix Gang, then use the certificate from Fran and get the reward from the King. If you got the shield halves instead, go to museum first, then the King.
Get combat up or a body guard friend for the next quests!
- Knights Sword - Thurgo will take the pie from you. Ice Warriors and Giants are deadly. Get the body guard to run in and attack them first. Find a safe spot.
- Black Knights Fortress - Fran sold you 2 cabbages. The right way to finish this quest is to eat a cabbage, then “USE” and throw the second cabbage down the hole. If you don’t do this you don’t get the full experience.
- Vampire Slayer - Dr Harlow is in the pub by sawmill in 2004
- Demon Slayer - FRIEND IS NEEDED, NOT INSTANCED! Get 25 bones in the Varrock sewers by killing giant rats. Buckets can be found up the stairs from the kitchen to put water down the drain.
- Dragon Slayer - Repair the Boat, speak to Ned, then the Oracle, then into Dwarven Mines. The Items will be used automatically. Do the Maze last, as you may die to demon if you don’t know that the safe spot is right next to door.
Finally, when you get to Crandor, make sure you go past the lesser demons and open the secret wall entrance so you can get back via musa point if you die.
P2P Quest Guide
Easy/No Combat first
- Gertrude’s Cat - Doogle Leaves are right behind Gertrude’s house. Rub one onto the Sardine Fran sold you. That makes the sardine untradeable. Get fish to feed your new kitten while questing!
- Druidic Ritual - Run in the gate quickly to avoid guards!
- Witch’s House - You can trap the wolf by walking it into the north eastern corner of shed, may take a few tries. Bring food!
- Fishing Contest - Spade spawn in Edmound’s house in Ardy.
- Plague City - Elena takes the dwellberries from you, don’t eat them.
- Sheep Herder - Kill the sheep after you trap them, they de-spawn quickly if you don’t!
- Biohazard - After Quest you can sell your cat for death runes!
- Murder Mystery - 16 inventory spaces needed and a few pots.
- Monk’s Friend - Fran sold you a jug of water just for this. Take a shot when the balloons fall to make the party worth it!
- Clock Tower - Bucket is next the monk by the well. fill it with water for the black cog.
- Hazeel Cult - Join the Dark side to get Thieving xp!
- Fight Arena - Safe spot behind the skeletal remains. Keep your ring of Dueling on you! Random swarm may spawn in the jail cell with you and you need to tele out to survive!
- Tribal Totem - Lord Francis Kurt Handlemort set some traps, be careful!
- Sea Slug - Swamp Paste from Khazard General Store.
- Observatory - To get the Sextant, Watch, and Chart you must have a coordinate clue in inventory. Speak to professor after quest, then Murphy in Port Khazard, then Brother Kojo in the Clock tower.
- Tourist Trap - Can all be bought from Shantay. Watching Zombie Musiq’s video for this quest is the easiest bet. I could not have done it without it. Be careful with dialogue at the end with the mother. She will ask where to put your reward xp into, Agility is best bet.
- Grand Tree - Safe Spot within the rocks, you got it!
- Waterfall Quest - Start next quest while you are in the Village, maybe even finish it before you leave.
Always think before you click. Everything is fail-able in this quest. That is how it was made. Just because there is an option for it doesn’t mean it is correct. - Tree Gnome Village - Safe spot by staying in the woods out of their wander range.
- Jungle Potion - Get an anti-poison from the general store in the jungle in case you get poisoned. Be careful near the Jogres. The herb is in the back of the cave on the walls. Be Patient.
- Digsite - Use the archived guide linked above or Zombie Musiq video guide.
- Merlin’s Crystal - Fran does not supply the bucket of wax. A bucket is near the beehives, and insect repellant in Catherby house. Fran sold you bat bones for the ritual and bread for the homeless
Harder combat ahead / High combat levels needed
- Holy Grail - Don’t just stand there and blow that Whistle and Ring that Bell. Hurry up as there is a place to save!
- Lost City - Best to bring crumble undead runes to kill a zombie on Entrana for an ax. Then use same spell on the spirit. Good luck
- Watchtower - Bring an antifire shield when you go into the dungeon!
- Big Chompy Bird Hunting - DON’T make the arrows Fran sold you until you start the quest! If you burn your chompy, tough luck. You can either find the ingredients spawning on ground, or find Fran again.
- Temple of Ikov - Fran may have 20 limps and yew bow available to sell for 72k, but not always as there are many other sellers and competition.
- Shilo Village - Can all be bought from Jiminua’s Jungle Store
- Alfred Grimhand’s Barcrawl Miniquest - do miniquest while you do Dwarf Cannon as you need to go to the dwarven mines in the quest.
- Dwarf Cannon - You got to look at each peice of fence as there is no visible difference.
- Scorpian Catcher - Don’t finish the quest until later. We will get the one in Taverly dungeon when we do Heroes Quest! After trapping the one at Barbarian Agility course and 31 prayer to get the one in Edge Monastery, ask the seers at seers village about the third in Taverly Dungeon. Now you can open the hidden door in the wall when you go down there.
- Heroes Quest - Hero’s Services available
- Family Crest - The Steel Gauntlets remain after you make their choice. So choose wisely. I recommend Chaos for the Strength bonus and saving money on runes.
- Mage Arena 1 - 43 Prayer and Prayer pots recommended - Pray Magic Throughout and use strongest spell.
