The rule regarding several accounts at once specify that no multi logging is allowed and no gameplay designed to benefit you extra in some way.
Does this cover having an alt account that is logged out at varrock west? I would like to be able to have sell listings out on the marketplace and to log out of my main and log into my other account to do the trade to avoid having to leave whatever im doing on my main. Thanks for any clarification!
The rule is against multilogging and interaction between your accounts. So long as your alt isn’t getting items from your main, that doesn’t sound like it breaks any rules.
You would surely need to trade betwen your accounts though to move the items to the trader account and/or the cash back to the main account?

I think the idea is that the alt has its own items for sale but they want to be able to play their main whilst waiting for offers.
Undo is right in that I would want to be able to move cash between the accounts, the alt acting as my merching account for my main so I could avoid leaving my mains current activity to do a trade. Am I correct to assume then that this would be against the rules?

Correct, this is against the rules. The idea of the rules is your account is progressed by you and the community, not you and any benefit from alts along the way
