I can see that Pazaz might nail the 60-90mil range by the end of the 4 months at least for party hats being lined up somewhat with the prices of 2004. Maybe late 2004 prices. Santas and mask would need to be way more abundant for sure to be around the 1-5m range. But problem is our economies are so different.
How is that a terrible idea. If rares were so hard to obtain because of their price in 2004 why not have an npc that sold rares at those prices for a week or so?
Rares were way cheaper in 2004 than they are in the server. Besides, 2004scape is not the preservation project. The open-source code is.
Raw gp would be king for the week and would definitely destabilize the economy. We would see everyone liquidating their assets to buy one.
It would also add in something that was not present to the game.
Not a bad idea my friend but would cause an uproar for sure.
We have 13 weekends left of rare item drops before you can effectively compare rare item prices. At that point we will almost be at the year 2005 in the RuneScape 2 timeline. Keep in mind gold is much easier to obtain on this server than it was in the year 2004 due to the server’s crack down on RWTers and bots. Your time is worth more gold per hour because of it.
If anything rares will be easier to obtain requiring less time to grind gold on this server compared to RuneScape in 2004. The only valid point was what @Neb mentioned, that santa hats and h’ween masks seem to be just as rare as party hats currently. But we’re only 3 weekends in, so however Pazaz decides to play it I’m here for the journey. It’s fun and feels like a real return to RuneScape gaming in 2004. Can we just enjoy it?
