Would this be authentic or is it after our time? Not that it is necessary seeing that the dev team already does a great job handling reports and players, but was just always nice seeing players with crowns

Crown symbols for Moderators were added 14 June, 2004 - so just about 4 weeks after Lost City’s current version!
It is most likely that the next major revision update will include the crowns we’re familiar with.
As a side note, we do indeed have a team of helpful and knowledgeable player mods who play regularly, around the clock!

Thank you for the info! I have been loving every minute, thank you for all you guys do.
Although their functionality was already developed by Andrew by the time RS2 came around, player moderators in general did not exist until June 2004, it wasn’t only just their crown icons.
