some are threatening me saying this is bannable, is this true?
Crashing in itself isn’t bannable but targeted harassment is, when in doubt look at the in-game report abuse feature that lists all 12 rules or The Rules
It was actually common to share training spots back in the day.
Here’s a screenshot from 2005-2006 with 3 people sharing 2 moss giants.
after every world is full and i refuse to leave would that be considered harrasment? What if I dont want to leave, and I want to stay while not saying anything.
How is harrasment defined? There needs to be clear guidelines.
There is no clear definition of harassment because it can take a few forms such as:
- You get crashed and you or the crasher begin using derogatory words towards one another.
- You get crashed and either you or the crasher decide to harass the other by following them and crashing at whatever spot they go to hindering their ability to play the game.
Again, when in doubt just refer to the rules and you’ll generally be alright.
Players are expected to reasonably discern what’s over the line when it comes to harassment and griefing. We are mostly adults here.
It’s not against the rules to kill someone else’s Moss Giants. It’s not even against the rules to fight a monster to half hp and then leave it, BUT if you are continuously and frequently causing problems or your purpose over the course of hours is to grief or annoy to players, you may be removed or restricted as the situation needs.
You can also be banned for your game behavior, not only chat messages.
Don’t be a menace. We are supposed to be here to have a good time and appreciate some history! Treat others with respect, even when they show none to you, and you will soon begin to feel respected in turn.
Thanks for posting.
No ARTur, it’s not about refusing to hop worlds.
Repeatedly for hours fighting the monsters to half HP is intentional griefing. It’s a video game so no, you’re not physically or mentally hurting anyone, but you are “hurting” their time with the express intention to be annoying and problematic.
We understand resource competition is fierce and can feel cramped, and we understand being frustrated to have a plan for your game session be interrupted by another player.
It doesn’t excuse turning it into a mission to see how angry or annoyed you can make them, or continuously and repeatedly going out of your way to make their time harder.
So if thats the case why cant they just hop instead of continuing to crash me? If somebody crashes me and gets mad that I kill the hillgiants at half HP how is that my problem?
This does not make sense whatsoever. in what world do I have to accomadate somebody who crashes me by hopping myself, and then be threatened with ban and accused of harrasment.
I understand. Thank you for clarifying I will makesure to accomadate everyone to the best of my abilities.
I’m going to go ahead and close this since it seems your question has been answered, if you have any other questions or concerns feel free to open a new thread.
