I was in Varrock west bank buying an amulet of strength for 5k from someone, and when i clicked the accept button on the 2nd trade screen i was immediately teleported to the 2nd floor of the shield shop in falador square… no teleport animation or anything, the instant i clicked the accept button i appeared there lol, wtf???

you got a genie event while in trade and didnt notice, genies will teleport you if ignored for too long (as they did back in the day). hope this helps.

the randoms in this iteration of the game are so out of pocket. getting tele’d or killed by a genie is hilarious. sorry op nothing personal
