I was afk with a full inv of cow hides, in lummy… I re-login and I’m at edge portal spot (ofc there’s no portal there in 2004) with everything noted and all my armour in my inventory as noted items???

This can happen when you ignore random events. They will get angry and grief you!
Random events are extremely brutal in 2004. They can kill you, teleport you and note your items, or even drop your inventory on the floor!

Ahh legitimately thought this after posting that maybe that happened, I played at this time in 2004 and almost forgot they did that, main thing I remember is dying to them a lot lol.

I’m vaguely familiar with this. Can anyone confirm it’s only your inventory that gets dropped and not worn items in addition to inventory? I’d just like to be extra cautious in case I’m wearing a rune item or power ammy because I do like to 3 item train sometimes.
This is correct for the genie, only the inventory is dropped, worn items are left alone: Server/data/src/scripts/macro events/scripts/macro_events.rs2 at a3d635fb5819d47f576b9e0c6b0065a2f49f7e98 · 2004Scape/Server · GitHub
Of course, the events which kill you will cause all items to be dropped save for your three most valuable. Worn items get no protection there

Would like to know this too as I can’t really remember worn items being dropped but I do the same as you, training in 3 items etc.
